About AuDHD UK
AuDHD UK is a charity dedicated to ending autism and ADHD-related suicides in the UK. We want to ensure that every autistic and ADHD individual has access to the support they need by helping to fund therapy and assessments. We aim to raise awareness, provide resources, and build a supportive community where AuDHD individuals feel understood and empowered. Our work is driven by lived experience, and we are passionate about creating positive, life-saving change for AuDHD individuals and their families.
Role Overview
We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Volunteer Trainer to help deliver training sessions to schools and businesses. In this role, you’ll play a key part in increasing understanding and awareness of autism and ADHD, equipping educators, employers, and staff with the tools they need to better support AuDHD individuals.
You’ll have the opportunity to design and deliver training tailored to different audiences, ensuring that schools and businesses can create more inclusive and supportive environments.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Training Development and Delivery
Develop and deliver engaging training sessions on autism and ADHD for schools and businesses.
Tailor training content to meet the specific needs of different audiences.
Use real-life examples and case studies to make the training relatable and impactful.
✅ Awareness and Advocacy
Promote understanding and acceptance of AuDHD individuals through informative and interactive sessions.
Act as an ambassador for AuDHD UK, representing the charity professionally and passionately.
✅ Feedback and Improvement
Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of training.
Adapt and refine training content based on feedback and emerging best practices.
✅ Collaboration and Support
Work closely with the AuDHD UK team to align training content with the charity’s goals.
Keep up to date with developments in autism and ADHD research and training approaches.
Skills and Experience
⭐ Passionate about supporting the AuDHD community and raising awareness.
⭐ Experience in training, teaching, or public speaking (formal or informal).
⭐ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
⭐ Ability to adapt training styles to different audiences and learning needs.
⭐ Experience or understanding of autism and ADHD, ideally from a lived experience or professional perspective.
